$15,000 by April 30th target: Goal reached!
$80,000 to fund the whole series: Goal reached!
Hello friends,
We're currently aiming to make an "Amazing Ecosystems of Canada" mini-documentary video series, starting with "The Battle for the Coastal Old-Growth Temperate Rainforests of British Columbia" that we're currently working on. They will be quite short and fast-paced little videos, 5 to 9 minutes long each, touching on a lot of key content regarding the different amazing native ecosystems across the country.
Our goal is to reach 10 million Canadians via social media over the next 6 months with this ecosystem mini-video series, featuring temperate rainforests, Interior dry forests, grasslands, foothills ecosystems, aspen parkland, southern deciduous forests, northern conifer forests, eastern mixed forests, and more...all as part of a major push to get provinces and the federal government to commit to more ambitious, ecosystem-based protected areas targets and the requisite support for Indigenous protected areas and land acquisition funding.
These next 6 months are the greatest opportunity in world history thus far for the protection of native ecosystems in the lead-up to the UN Biodiversity Conference, including for the old-growth forests of British Columbia, and this video series will play a major role to expand awareness and help to mobilize millions of Canadians to push for an expansion in protected areas across the country.
We reached ourinitial goal to raise $15,000 by April 30th thanks to our donors!
Our current goal is to raise $80,000 to produce the entire video series of 8 to 10 videos. Can you help us?
