Some of Canada's most unique ecosystems - jam-packed with endangered species - are the amazing grasslands, "pocket desert" and Ponderosa pine forests of BC's SOUTH OKANAGAN region by Osoyoos. There is where a new national park reserve is proposed!
You must give your input by March 15 to make it happen. Please insist that the White Lake and Vaseux Lake areas be included! Right now Parks Canada is leaving out these vital lowland grassland/desert areas out of the proposal...unless you speak up!
The Endangered Ecosystems Alliance's executive director Ken Wu has been working on this campaign since 2005. This is one of the greatest conservation opportunities in Canadian history - don't let it slip away! The national park reserve is supported by the Syilx/Okanagan First Nation Alliance, the town of Osoyoos, and numerous businesses, recreationalists and conservation groups.
