We are a young organization (founded in late 2018), but with campaigners who have decades of experience, know-how, and dedication in protecting native ecosystems. With your help, we are working to engage and mobilize millions of Canadians - with an emphasis on “non-traditional allies” to broaden and strengthen the movement (businesses, unions, diverse faith groups, scientists, outdoor recreation groups) and on supporting Indigenous Protected Areas initiatives. We aim to ensure that provincial governments and the federal government get serious about meeting Canada's UN protected areas commitment - and go further, based on the science. Read how we are unique here, see a video on the importance of our approach here and see the link to our main campaign news here.
